  1. Gentlemen prefer blondes but marry brunettes.

  2. Actually I don't think so. Blondes are portrayed as pretty in Western Society, so we think they are. As for them being in Mexican soap operas, well Mexico isn't so remote that they don't have access to TV and other media. But, if someone were to come from a truly remote part of the world who had never seen TV or a blonde, I don't think they'd necessarily be attracted. I mean they might, but it would be based on other things besides her hair color (like if her face and figure fit in at all with what they believe is attractive). Remember that Native Americans thought Whites were strange looking and called them "Palefaced." I think if it's a look that they'd never seen before, they would not find it attractive.

Like do we think Neanderthals (as they've been reconstructed) are attractive? Heck no! Why? Probably because they don't look anything like the idea of attractiveness that we were raised with. But I think if Neanderthals could see us today, they wouldn't think we were attractive either.

The only thing anthropologists have found all cultures find universally attractive is a curvy figure (hips to waist ratio), and they believe this is because hips that are wider are better for carrying babies, thus ensuring survival of their clan/tribe/people.

  3. of course. i would think so. people are attracted to the unknown. they're attracted to what they don't see often. blonde hair... blue eyes... my husband is hispanic and he says the people who are considered "pretty" in Mexico are the white ones with blone hair and blue eyes. It must be kinda true because I see those types on the Mexican soap operas.

  4. Yes.  Everything is attracted to pretty blonds.

Gorillas, aliens, monsters, and so on.

    Don't you watch movies?

  5. i don't know....probably...i feel like blonds can do no wrong...if you detect a slight tinge of resentment its there...i feel under appreciated as a redhead

  6. *hiding and whispering from a safe place* Yes

Because blondes are just hot by nature.

  7. Possibly, theres no reason why they wouldn't, unless they came from an extremely remote area and they found make-up or the style of clothing worn as very strange.

  8. LOVE red heads.

Blond rock.  It doesn't matter how remote the area is, they would like the blond woman.  You see blond body hair doesn't show as prominantly making a true blond look that much more feminine.  Anyway, that's my theory.

  9. When I was in Spain, that's how the men said it was.  Almost all Spanish women are dark-haired with brown eyes.  There's lot of tourists over there, of course, but overall, people, especially men, are attracted to things that are unique. So for a blond-haired, with or without the blue eyes goes to a part of the world where no one else looks like her, then yes; the guys will go crazy.
