Would someone on unemployment benefits be likely to be eligible for a small overdraft?

Only £50-£100.I am thinking of applying with my bank,I have been with them 13 years.It would make my life easier.

I'm not sure, but if you were go in prepared with details on why you require the overdraft, how you would propose paying it back, etc, they may consider it.

If you have a good credit rating, you may be lucky!

yes you would, but only if you use the bank, paying bills etc, through them.
