Would someone please give me examples pronoun confusion in autistic children? Thx.?

  1. My students can all identify males and females, but they often interchange her/him and he/she when talking about people, even though they can identify them.

    I also have one who often wants food and things that other people have, so he will say things like, "Can I have my snack, please?" He doesn't seem to know the difference between my and yours, even though we've worked on it.

  2. i and you (and otehr 1st v 3rd person pronouns

    A child hears the adult ask 'do you want a cookie'

    child askes for a cookie by saying 'you want a cookie' meaning 'i want a cookie'

    child refers to self as 'you'

    and others as 'me'
