(On this plan in particular: http://www5.letstalk.com/plans/productdetail.htm?prId=31887)

So, if someone was to add a third line and then terminate it before the contract ended, would there be an charge?

Additionally, if one already had a (non-AT&T) phone, would it be possible to get that phone onto the plan as the third line?

  1. You normally have to sign a new contract every time you add another line.  So Yes you will have to pay a termination fee if you want to quit one of your phones.  Often you can get a free phone when adding a line.

If your other phone is an unlocked GSM phone you might be able to get it to work on  At&t.  If the phone is a 7-11 phone it will definitely work.  If it is from Tracfone or Net10 it will absolutely not work.  If the phone is from Verizon, Alltel, US Cell it will not work because it is a CDMA phone.
