Question:

Would the Goal Judge Allow the Goal on Purpose...?

Suppose something happened like the Penguins scored a goal at the buzzer to win it in OT. The play is reviewed, and the goal is VERY boarderline, but after close examination one will see that it was NOT a goal. Do you think the goal judges and the people in Toronto (knowing it was not a goal, though it was very close) say that it WAS a goal in order to extend the series to six games, and possibly a seventh? That way they have more revenue through ticket sales, advertising, NBC will have more viewers, etc.?

  1. Golf is what people do when they retire and no longer can play physical and REAL sports!

  2. I'm not saying a word about "iffy" goals...cause I'm still bitter...

  3. No they wouldn't. They are completely un-biased as to time, score, team, etc.

  4. It is not the goal judge who really makes the call. He is only there to show every one that there COULD have been a goal. The call would be determined by what the referees did on the ice at that time

  5. The use instant reply in the NHL so that would be corrected
