Would the Middle East Be So Problematic if King Richard Won the Crusades?

I was just playing Assassin's Creed, and it made me wonder if King Richard losing the Crusades was a bad thing. Was it? A lot of problems seem to stem from Islamic extremists, and I'm wondering if the area would've been as tremulous as it is today if it was inhabited by a bunch of Europeans. What do you think?

  3. that question can have no meaningful answer. No way to answer it as so many things have happerned in the 800 or so years since the crusade that Richard was in.

  4. He was a buggerer!  All he wanted the Middle East for was to plunder its ASSets!
