Like Taiwan... one chunk of land instead of the 7000 we're all spread on. What do you think would have been different if this was so? How would it affect your life?

  1. Goverment is the main problem in the philippines. every officials take advantages. WHY NOT ADDRESS THIS QUESTION TO YOUR LADY PRESIDENT?

  2. Further assuming that we have the same regional/cultural groups and the same major religions, then we STILL have the MILF to worry about.  There goes the peace issue.

And does it mean we won't have as many beaches as we do now?  There goes the tourist dollars.  And does it mean that with many inland (landlocked) provinces, fishing as a major livelihood is a thing of the past?  There goes the prosperity issue.

I'd stick with our 7,107 islands!!!

  3. If you are trying to analize why the Philippines is not prosperous , you are looking in the wrong direction .

What you propose would make no difference , people would still be the same people blaming all the ills on the government and taking no responsibility themselves

  4. Still, it depends how the government rules, if still corrupt then nothing's change but who knows.

  5. land mass has nothing to do with prosperity .

  6. of course not, prosperity of one country never depends on that criteria.  Its the filipino attitude that can make a difference.

  7. Its possible...but I dont think so...that means MILF can easily bomb the whole nation.

  8. yes, for one, we don't have to deal with sulpicio lines.

  9. It probably won't make any difference because a lot of non educated foreigners think it's already one big island. The only time something is referred to many islands they think of Hawaii. It's common sense.

  10. probably.

    communication would be better

transport of commodities will be easier

there will be more sense of unity

but if we still have the government of the few, not much will differ.
