Would the Scottish National Party campaign for the removal of Scots ruby players from the British Lions?

Or would they look at the British Lions team and realise that it doesn't do the individual Scottish team any harm?

Having an individual Scottish football team at the Olympics would just be an embarrassment!

It use to ba called the British lions, now it's the British & Irish Lions, so it may soon be called the British, Irish & Scots Lions.  Man what a mouth full. One third can't cook, the other third will be drunk, and the last third don't want to pay.

You are confusing the issues in two different sports . There is widespread opposition to a British Olympic football team in Scotland , Northern Ireland and Wales and its nothing to do with politics. It is simply about the preservation of these countries rights to participate as nations in the World arena .A British Olympic team would , it is generally believed ,  be swamped by the numerically superior English .The opposition is across the political spectrum as can be observed by reading the press . As far as rugby is concerned I am not aware of any remarks made by the SNP , Tories , Labour or Lib Dems about such a proposition . Suggest you forget it and get real !

It's nonsense, I do apologise for him, he's getting on a bit now. Sorry. He switched from a Celtic "fan" to Rangers so I wouldn't listen to a word he has to say.

The Loins Are the British and Irish Lions because that's what they are. It's teams from Britain and Ireland

There is no other way of describing them.

Let's keep it that way.
