Would the ag-dvc7 be a good camcorder for filming skateboarding?

iv heard bad about it but it looks ok...and does it use usb to edit

  1. The DVC7 is about as low end as you can get for a camcorder that is alleged (by the mfg) to be a professional camera. It's not really a pro camera though (at least you sure won't find real pros considering it to be one). A much better camera is the JVC GY-DV300U, which can be purchased used, for about the same cost. The DV300U genuinely is a professional level camera.

    Both the DVC7 and DV300U shoot standard definition video. You would probably actually be happier shooting high definition video with a camera like the Canon HV20 or HV30 (both excellent consumer cameras). Those cameras can shoot stunning images in good light (outdoors). They do suffer in anything less than ideal lighting though, and do not offer much manual control.
