I heard back during Vietnam the h***s Angels spoke with the President and volunteered to go fight as a group. If a motorcycle club or gang or even just a big group of friends wanted to go fight in Iraq would the military ever let them, without fomrally joining the military.

  1. Never happen, which is why the h***s Angels were turned down, and rightfully so as they would have had their butts handed to them!

  2. They might make an exception, or they might just tell you to enlist like regular people.

  3. No, they would have to go through military training of some sort.

  4. Sadly, I don't think the military would let a group of private citizens, such as a group of friends, go fight in Iraq. I wish they would, though.

  5. Under Article One, Section Eight of the Constitution the Congress has the authority to issue letters of marque and reprisal. These are letters which allow private citizens to carry out military actions in the name of the United States. The last time the authority was used was in the Barbary Pirates' War in the Jefferson Administration when private ships were outfitted with deck cannons to serve as a thrown-together Navy of sorts since we didn't have a Navy and it would take some time for the few ships that Congress authorized funds for building and outfitting came on line.

  6. The ones that I can think of is Blackwater. Blackwater is a private mercenary group however, many of them are ex special forces (Rangers, Navy Seals, etc). So they have had military experience. But as of what I know they are the only ones in Iraq.

  7. im not sure....but i think blackwater isnt part of the military

There are more people fighting the Iraq war who ARENT US Military than there are those who are.

Private Contractors deaths arent counted, they dont have to follow US or Iraqi law, and they are armed to the teeth.  There are more Private Contractors than Soldiers in Iraq.

BTW...keep that in mind when you hear about "troop withdrawal".

  9. This sound like chaos. People who go fight anywhere must take orders from commander in chief. If they can take order, take this order just join military and fight for their country.

  10. No, you wouldn't know how to use the equipment and you simply don't know how to fight. We have set procedure's and we don't need Civvies running in getting in the way, dieing and letting Terrorist's get there hand's on some of the best weapon's the world has to offer. It isn't like a Movie, you can't just pick up a good and be proficient at using it, this taker's time and training. Sorry to say but Civvies would probably be more of a hindrance then a helping. If you want to fight for the Country join the Military, you get trained, payed and you will have the opportunity to prove yourself in battle.
