Yeah, so, I'm planning to go as Alex from A Clockwork Orange(yes, I'm a girl) since I have just about everything I need for the costume, but I've already agreed to go trick-or-treating with a 6-year-old girl that I babysit sometimes(her mother is VERRRRY religious and MIGHT not take too kindly to little Alex). Should I dress as someone less....sociopathic, or will it be okay? I'm going with my friends later at night, so I can just change into Alex after I'm done with the little girl.

  1. I doubt it'll matter what you're dressed as. I'm sure there are a lot more stranger costumes than that :]

    Maybe she won't even know who you're supposed to be.

  2. Always know your audience and adapt when your interests are at stake.

  3. Well, on the one hand, yeah, that's a pretty violent character to act like around a six year old;

    On the other hand, it's very likely that the Mom has never SEEN that movie.

  4. Well, I would normally just say to go as you originally planned, but you are in charge of someone else's daughter. Although Alex is a pretty neat, and to normal people, a harmless costume, her mother may not want her to be seen with someone who is dressed like a psychopath from one of the biggest cult hits of all time. Here's simple.

    I am assuming you are wearing a top hat, a white suite stright jacket thingy, and carrying a cane. If you wear a read long coat, and a some purple things under it, you could go as Johnny Depp's version of Willy Wonka. He's pretty creepy, but friendly.
