Question:

Would the post office give a refund on something that has no insurance on it?

My friend mailed me money and i haven't received it yet. He did not get insurance on it. Is there someway that i could get a refund on it or something.

  1. Not without proof.

    Hopefully, your friend didn't send cash. If they sent a check, cancel the check. Money order, I think they can still recover the money by going to the place the got it from.  Cash, well, its probably in some postmans wallet by now.

    The only other way is if they got insurance or even delivery proof on it. If not, then you and they are out of luck.

    The post office lost a billion dollars I sent to myself, and I didn't get a refund. i couldn't prove I sent it, so they wouldn't pay me...BTW, I didn't, but it would be too easy for someone to go and say they did, and defraud them out of money.
