Yeah I know it sounds crazy, and not that I would do it, but I was wondering if it was possible. Say you had some giant boat or air plane (boat would probably be easier), could you buy gasoline from Venezuela (wikipedia says it costs $0.19 per gallon, over 21x less than my local gas station), and then bring it back to, say, Miami? Miami is the closest city in the U.S. to Venezuela, so it would be the best place to bring it back. Considering gas now costs over $4.00/gallon, you sell it for like $3.90 and people will be all over you. Would this even be possible? How much would you need to buy to even make a profit?

  1. Citgo gas is Venezuelan gasoline.  But because they are hostile to USA, it would be difficult (or impossible) to open another delivery route (from the USA government AND from the Venezuelan government).

Venezuelan government is not about to give CHEAP gas to the Americans.  That price is for the local consumption.

It would make more sense to bring in gasoline from Mexico.  It is little bit cheaper, but cheap enough to make money and easy enough to just drive it up.  The only problem is that is it illegal to bring gasoline from Mexico and sell it without the proper permit and taxes.

But I like the way you think.

    Good Luck...
