  1. I would say that a softer all-around board like that would work well everywhere - groomers, park, etc. Other good brands that I suggest - K2 and Ride:

    The boots are probably very nice - DC, 32 and Vans are known as some of the best out there but I would suggest buying the boots locally - you really need to try them on to see if they feel good on YOUR feet. Even getting the right size on-line can be impossible because different makes and models size differently.

    Why such high end bindings? I would recommend the Ride EX or even the Ride RX - you can buy next year's gear for what you are going to save.

  2. Absolutely!  

    With very few exceptions, all equipment is interchangeable.  The boots, deck and bindings are all quality brands. Provided you like the graphics and colors, why not get them?   Don't forget a stomp pad and a leash.  Burton bindings usually come with a leash and a key ring for your boots.  the keyring gives something for the leash to connect to without wearing out the laces, or wire on those boots.
