  1. Black soles are not allowed on some courts, since they leave marks.   These look black to me.   Are they?

  2. I'll give you a direct and truthful answer, no they are not.

Tennis is a sport that has a lot of stopping, sprinting, and running.

If you don't have time to buy shoes by tomorrow, just wear them because that's all you have. Make sure you buy the right kinds of shoes ASAP.

    Good luck.

  3. That Puma is for walking & jogging but they will do on tennis practice games.

If you're comfortable with it, fine use them till it wears out.

But if you're planning to buy 1, pick Nike tennis shoes, they're perfect

Adidas, Reebok, Wilson, Prince, Yonex are great as well

  4. Not at all.

When you look for tennis shoes you need a piece of rubber across the tip of your toe, and usually there are a lot of support by the back of your foot.

Once you start looking at tennis shoes you'll start noticing the similarities.

    i suggest www.tenniswarehouse.com

  5. I just answered a similar question, and I'll give you pretty much the same thing.

If you're a beginner, or just playing for fun, any shoes with non-marking outsoles are fine.

Those say "no" are assuming that you are more advanced and NEED a real tennis shoe.  If I were to use those or a regular running shoe, I'd drag through the left toe in a week, because I drag my foot a lot when I play.  If you aren't to the point of dragging your toes, don't worry so much about it.

My one point of difference for you versus the other person I answered for would be in the shoes you are showing.  I know those aren't cheap, and you can expect to get some wear on them no matter what your level.  And that can include occasional scuffs to the uppers of the shoe.  If I were you, i'd get a cheap running or cross-training shoe so you aren't messing up your good shoes.

Wait until you are going through shoes pretty quickly from tennis to worry about buying an expensive pair of tennis shoes.

  6. no, u could seriously hurt ur ankle or twist some muscle. Tennis requires a lot of movement so tennis shoes have treads and indentations on the bottom of them so u can get ur footing. I don't think u should use those pumas. u can get urself a decent pair of shoes at www.tenniswarehouse.com or go to tennisplaza.com

  7. I dont think so because tennis is a sport that requires a lot of change of direction, if you were to go out and with these you would either tear up your knees or ankles
