Would they erase my juvenile felony know that im 18 but my juvenile probation is still active?

is it true that if you do not finish you'r juvenile probation before you turn 18 your case cant be sealed does your felony stay in your record for ever cause i only committed one felony when i was 13teen and i wanna know if it will be in my adult record cause my juvenile probation is still active but im about to get out in 2 months of probation so is this true that i cant erase my felony no more cause know im 18 teen could somebody help me answer this important question to me

  1. Depends on your state. Some states automatically seal (not erase) the juvenile file once a person turns 18. Other states (like Washington) do not automatically seal records and you must apply to the court for that to happen.


  2. If you're sentenced as a juvenile, then you are not really convicted - it's an "adjudication" that may not even come up on your record.  However, it could appear on your record - it would still not be considered a conviction however.  It could be publicized if you could convince a judge to "unseal" it.  The crucial thing is whether you were sentenced as a juvenile or an adult.
