Would they play 20 Ot's? (NHL!)?

I know its next goal wins, I think anybody who watches the NHl knows that. But is there any rule stating something beyond that bvious rule. Could it really go to 20OTS? Is there absoutely no limit. what if the players just fall down and cant play anymore (LOL).

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA... you guys are all wrong. Overtime in the NHL is played with 4 men instead of 5. It lasts for 5 minutes and if no one scores it goes to a shootout. If after the shoot out the game is still tied, the shootout continues but in "sudden death" form. THIS could theoretically go on forever.

There is no limit, if it does go WAY too long they would postpone the game and continue playing at a later date.  But as the guys get more an more tired a goal is more likely to occur.  It happens in College hockey all the time, there are so many more OT games and the game winner ends up being a bad bounce or lucky shot, that is just the way it goes.

As far as I know, you play until you win. There was a game in the 1930s that went on forever. Modere "Mud" Bruneteau scored the winner for Detroit, forever a trivia answer.

They stop after 5 OT and come back the next day to finish.

In an NHL playoff game, they play until there is a winner whether that be 1 OT or 20.

they would play as many overtimes as necessary, but not at one time. If a game goes to a certain number of overtimes(not sure the exact number), the game would continue on a different date.

The game keeps going to someone scores! Like the one AHL game that went to 5 periods, players were literally taking naps during floods and they ordered a bunch of pizzas. However, the longer the game goes, the more sloppy the play gets and garbage goals can occur at any time. So a 20 OT game would be unlikely to say the least.

no limit. obviously if all the players collapsed and needed to go to the hospital then i guess they woulld postpone it idk haha
