No, it would not be the best tank for a beardie. For one a bearded dragon will get about 16-18 inches long and a 55 is not that deep. Second, they are very tall, so it will be harder to keep your temps right and the gradients will be off. Third if you put a young one in a tank that big, it will have a hard time finding cricket and not eat enough.
