  1. Not good!

Why can't you have drinks and drink responsibly without getting *drunk?*

Personally, if we were to have a get together and there was alchy.. only ONE of us would be drinking. I would pass and be the alert one. It's never good idea for everyone to get sloshed around a child.

  2. First of all, it's never a good idea to get yourself drunk and not be in control of your actions.

Secondly, it would be horribly irresponsible to do that when you are taking care of your 3 year old child.  If you're drunk, you probably won't notice if she is ill or needs attention or anything else unusual occurs.

So, no, it would not be okay.

  3. i think it would be fine just one of you dont get drunk so you will be able to take care of her

  4. Getting drunk at any time is irresponsible.  It's OK to have a drink or two, but it's never OK to get trashed.  What would happen if you were still drunk after the babysitter left?  What about when you can't drag yourself out of bed in the morning to care for your child?

You're a parent now.  Based on the question and the way you wrote it, I'd say you are quite young and/or immature.  It's time to be more responsible and act like an adult.

  5. What would you do if she woke up in the middle of your party and you were too smashed to take care of her?

No its not okay. Make other arrangments or cancel the party.

  6. If you've ever been in a bar with a bunch of loud drunks, you'd already know the answer to this question.  My opinion, no, it wouldn't be ok.  Anything could happen...drunks = fights, loud people, loud music and taking risks you wouldn't normally take if you were sober.  More importantly, you may pass out drunk and not be able to care for your daughter if she needs you.  If a lot is going on in a house, it never fails, your kids are going to creep out of bed to see what's going on...if you're passed out, who is going to care for your daughter???

I kept a friend's kids one night, and they decided to get drunk for their anniversary.  They dropped the kids off at 7 PM, by 8 PM, they were both screaming uncontrollably and would NOT calm down.  I called the parents, who said they couldn't come because they were drinking.  Those kids cried from 8 that night to 5:00 that morning!!  The parents?  Were so drunk that they slept til 10!  The next time they called?  You keep your own kids!!!!!!

Suggestion:  Invite a few friends over, play music, card games/dominoes, and SKIP the alcohol.  You'll be able to be sane if your daughter needs you and will still be able to have good, clean fun with your friends.  Alcohol doesn't make the party...people do!

God's blessings on you and yours...Always!!

  7. No. What if your child gets hurt or sick while you are downstairs partying? What if they need to go to the ER? No one will be responsible enough to say what happened, and you can be reported to DHS for that and risk losing your child. Is getting drunk worth losing your child?

  8. uh no

  9. You can get arrested for this.  Many children have been killed because they parents were too drunk to realize the kid was doing something nuts like climbing out a window or drinking poison.  Anyway, not only is this immoral, but illegal. Child endangerment.  Don't do it.

  10. no.

youll be drunk- not able to care for her needs if something happens then what....skip the beer and watch over the child.
