  1. That actually is an english hunt coat, and that is what most traditional cuts are going to look like, so you'll probably end up with something similar but I wouldn't recommend getting that particular coat.  You want to make sure you have the correct fit in your coat, otherwise you'll look sloppy and in hunters/equitation that can make a difference.

I'd recommend finding a tack shop near you and going in so you can try on different coats and make sure you have one that has long enough arms, fits the bust line, and has tails that are the correct length for you. Once you have those essentials, minor alterations can be made by a tailor.  Many tack shops also sell used items, so if price is an issue there are still options.

A ladies huntcoat should look similar: three buttons, a dark navy, dark gray, or black.  The link I provided is a typical show coat on an amateur owner hunter at the Devon horse show.

  2. No ,, wrong jacket altogether,

Buy a good hunt coat a real one, that one is just a ladies dress jacket

Try Dovers they have sells all the time on line

  3. In my opinion the cut looks wrong.. My idea of an English Hunting Coat is a decisively narrower waist with slightly flared tails. Tighter and neat. The one you are looking at is sloppy looking ...Keep looking .. good luck..
