  1. That would just be a waste of $50. Get a guitar that is higher quality like an Epiphone they go as low as $150. Usually here is the rule the higher the price of guitar the better quality and craftsman ship it is. Except Epiphone make excellent guitars for their price.

  2. Hi LIL

Actually, the guitar got a 4-start out of 5 review. I ordered one for the shop and definitely a good but for $50. You won;t find anything wrong but do not compare it to a Martin, Gibson or Takamine, Ovation and whatever.

You pay for what you get but , for a beginner, you can definitely not go wrong and can play it for the next 2 years until your ear develops and you are getting to know music and what sound you are looking for in the future.

Edit.... disregard the comments of others. Before saying anything, buy one and then post a comment. We ordered one and evaluated the guitar for a school of music and the guitar is definitely a good buy. Be open-minded.

Secondly, even if you pay $500, the guitar won't sound any better nor make you play better since you are just starting. It is not the instrument that makes the musician.

ANY GUITAR WILL SOUND AS GOOD AS THE MUSICIAN.

If is is bad, then expect garbage and if he/she is good, any guitar will sound good.

  3. If you're a beginner, you might just want to get a cheap acoustic from Wal-Mart. If you're more serious about it, Fenders and Les Pauls are pretty popular.

  4. A guitar that retails for $49.95 WITH an instructional DVD and a gig bag is likely to be a piece of totally unplayable c**p, suitable only as a wall hanging or decorative planter.

For Rondo Music to sell this guitar at that price and still make a profit on it, they can't have purchased it from the manufacturer for more than $20, or even less, which means its been thrown together in a factory out of the absolute cheapest, shoddiest materials available with zero workmanship or quality control.

Its your money. But if you want a decent instrument that will actually be playable and sound ok, you should be looking at beginner instruments in the $200 - 250 price range.
