Would this be a unique idea?

Hey!

So for a book I want to write, there is a villain who is trapped inside of an orb. And, most villains try and encourage others to free them so they can cause more chaos, etc. What if the villain didn't want to be freed and wanted to stay trapped up for a certain reason.

Just thought it would be interesting to have the villain NOT want to be freed, instead of wanting to be freed. What do u think :)

  1. I don't think it's truly unique. There are always bad guys Trying to be good, trying not to do more damage, but it depends on his reasons for not wanting out. Make those interesting and you have a great story.

  2. that's a cool idea but you should develop the idea a little more unless you want a really short story

  3. well. what would he do. i mean villians want out to like kill someone or rule the world. what can he do inside of an orb?

  4. It could make a good story, but it is not unique. For example, there are vestiges of it in The Shawshank Redemption and in other books about long term prison inmates who get released and would rather be back in prison because they cannot cope with life on the outside.
