Question:

Would this be acceptable for a name for our first born son?

Ok, my husband and I are trying to conceive our first son and to help us cope a bit with the waiting process each month, and the fact that my husband and I have totally different choices in names etc, we had put together a list we both liked and finally we agreed on a few choices. Together, we both agreed on the name Margera (after the famous Bam Margera). Anyways, the name "we" (more me actually) chose is Liam Margera Prescott Van Grinsven. For those of you who are wondering, the breakdown would be FIRST: Liam MIDDLE: Margera Prescott LAST: Van Grinsven. My husband thinks this name is too long and too complicated whereas I think its acceptable and would be fine. We decided that we would see what other people thought before we made a final decision. I guess really, it's a matter of whether or not we would add the "Prescott" or not. The name otherwise would be Liam Margera Van Grinsven. Thoughts?

  1. It's a cute name! I do think it may be a little lengthy, since you have a long last name and neither of the middle names are very short. Personally, I would leave the "Prescott" out unless it hold some significance to you or your family, but in the end, it's up to the two of you to argue over... er, I mean, to decide!

  2. i would say yes it is too long. it wouldn't be if your last name was only 1 word. it just takes a lot of breath and think of at graduation or something in like 13 to 18 years, it would just be a lot. i love prescott though. hope i helped. :)

  3. Liam Van Grinsven is the best sounding.

  4. My opinion on your name.

    Liam is gross.

Prescott I don't like, I think it sounds dumb.

Margera? Why would you want to name your child after an idiot like Bam Margera? Yuck.

    Sorry, I think it stinks.

  5. Liam Prescott is good enough, the other names added just add confusion. It's hard to even pronounce them.

I hope your dreams come true. Just keep praying, I tried for 14 months, now I am almost 4 months pregnant. Type in Robitussin to conceive on yahoo, and get some info on it, it really helped me conceive. It thinned out my cervical mucus. You must quit taking it after you ovulate.

  6. yes, i agree with your husband - it is too long. one middle name is enough, especially with a two part last name. Liam Margera Van Grinsven is a mouthful, but i do like the name. Save Prescott for a future child. congrats.

  7. Name him Liam Prescott. I don't like Margera. Bam is an idiot.

  8. Well, for a child first learning their names yeah it's a bit much. Especially if they make him write his name a hundred times like I had to do in elementary school. Personally in my opinion, yes it's too much.

  9. Don't add Prescott in.

    Margera is weird.

How about Liam James Van Grinsven?

It sounds more classic. WAYYY more classic.

  10. Stick to Liam Prescott. Don't know why anyone would want to name their kid after Bam Margera, very weird and your kid will hate you.

  11. Mam, its really up to your husband & yourself, Liam MargeraVan Grinsven sounds good, but as I said its up to you,Congratualtions!

  12. I think the name you chose is creative and unique, but I also think its a little long. That's just my opinion, but it is acceptable. Any name you choose is or will be acceptable.

  13. Liam is fine, Margera is stupid.

  14. Why do you want to name your child after Bam Margera?!?! That is really odd!!

I think you should leave it as Liam Prescott...Margera is lame anyway.

  15. Liam is not my style and i hate the middle names, but the last name is cute?

  16. Honestly... if you want to name a child after Bam Margera you shouldn't be trying to have kids, but that's just me.

    Liam, okay.

    Prescott, cute.

Since your last name is made up of two names, i'd only stick with one middle name. It's a mouthful.

  17. it would be socially acceptable, but you should really consider dropping either margera or prescott.. it is a too lengthy and might be confusing for your boy.

  18. you would wanna name your kid after bam margera? that really crazy guy? wow... i guess its not my kid. but anyways, that name is freaking crazily loooong! if you hafta go with liam margera do that, but i guess leave out the prescott.
