Question:

Would this be bad to do on my sisters birthday?

Well first off, my sister and I do NOT get along, not normal sibling stuff though. She literally causes me to shake whenever I see her, she is a HUGE bully to me. Every time she comes home from college I stay at friends houses to escape her. Anyways, next weekend is her birthday but it is also the only weekend my aunt can take me to do something for my birthday, which is also coming up. I never get to see my aunt because she has MS so this is a very rare opportunity. Even though my sister is horrible to me, would it be bad to miss part of her birthday for that?

  1. No, I don't think it would be bad to miss part of her birthday for a rare opportunity - and I think you should present it to her as such with regretfullness and offer a different day to honor her Birthday.  Sounds like she won't take you up on it, just be sure if you intended on giving her a present to do so before her birthday and be done with it - no remorse.

  2. I have to say no considering how she has treated you and how you feel about her . Not to mention that with your aunt having MS and it being rare that you get to see her .

I would go to your aunts .

  3. You have some confusing ideas, don't you?

First of all, why would you bother doing anything with a sister who terrorizes you? Why would your parents allow it? Why don't you tell them about her behavior and tell them to help you deal with her?

Me, I would not have anything to do with her, and I would tell my parents every time she looked at me funny. They need to protect you from bullies.

And you have an aunt you love and enjoy and she wants to spend time with you-so go. Who cares when it is?

Even Christmas Day, I would spend with someone who loved me rather than in a house with a bully and parents who don't help me deal with her..

Just becuase she is your sister, she doesn't ge to treat you like garbage. If she does and your famliy allows it, ignore her as much as possible. Do not go to her party or even give her a gift or say hello.

Actively work to enjoy your life. Make decisions that help you to have love and fun in your life.

  4. I do not think it would be.  I mean, this is your sister who sounds like she treats you like dirt.  If I had a sibling who bullied me all of the time, I know I would not feel one ounce of guilt for missing his or her birthday.  Go and do something positive.  Enjoy the day with your aunt.

  5. I think you should go with your aunt. If its a rare opportunity to see her (your aunt) then im sure if your sister wasnt a bully she would understand. However, I think if you are not going to enjoy your sisters birthday, and would enjoy the time with your aunt, you should just spend the time with whoever you want to.

  6. She will not even notice you are not there. Do your own thing, break away.

  7. no

    i would leave too.

    go for it.

  8. Maybe being nice will help her appreciate you.

  9. Go with your Aunt, MS is not a good thing and if she is having a good week you need to be with her.  There is no reason to be at your sister's birthday party that I can see. I am sure she won't care and make sure you have your folks back you up on this one tell them its important more to be with a kind aunt than bully sister. Don't pull punches!

  10. Well, it would be best to talk to her about it first.  But, from the way it sounds you guys don't have much of a relationship.  Just do whichever one would be most important to you.  Since your aunt is sick with MS, and it seems like you are closer to her, that is probably what I would choose.
