  1. This is the definition for child abuse:

Child abuse is the physical, psychological or sexual maltreatment of children.

So yes, i guess it can be classified as child abuse.

But its a very MILD case of it. If every child was put into care because their parents "poisoned" them against other people, there would have been a h**l OF A LOT up for adoption.

  2. No state agency would act on those allegations, remove the child from a parent's care, or file a petition in court for neglect or abuse on that basis.  It is up to the father to assert his parental rights. The father needs to be the best father he can be in every sense of the word.  He needs to get the support of the court to do everything he can to be a good parent.  If he is able to maintain a positive presence in the child's life, the child will not be fooled by false accusations from the other parent.  You need to give children credit for seeing through any bull*** that may be thrown around.

  3. It is child abuse. Psychological and cause problems in later life.

  4. EVERYONE who has a child is guilty, at one time or another, of committing an act, or saying something that affects the child negatively (i.e. - is mean spirited, bullying, etc). EVERYONE treats people this way at one time or another (mostly their loved ones, strangely). This behaviou is technically defined as abusive behaviour. Laws protecting people from abuse need to mind a fine line. Technically, if a man ever called his wife a nasty name, it's emotional/psychological abuse. Common sense needs to prevail.

So to answer your question, yes. It's classified as abuse. BUT if you are REALLY asking whether or not it is excessive enough to warrant an actual charge of child abuse, that is an entirely different set of criteria, based on a lot of facts that are not included here. If this child never sees their father, then how is the father certain the child is afraid of him? Is there proof that the childs' mind is "poisoned" as you put it? Is the child suffering as a result? How is the child taken care of outside of this accusation? This is an extremely subjective scenario, and is highly unlikely that it could ever be considered for investigation by authorities based on the lack of detail/evidence of "abuse".

  5. I think they call this Parent Alienation Syndrome. Yes, it's abuse.
