My job jsut went through a major layoff period where they laid off about 6 people in my office. They asked me to change my hours from 730 to 4pm to 11:00 to 8pm. I told them that I cannot change my hours because i have a one year old son that I have to pick up from school by 630. And secondly i dont want to miss out on my child growing up. I wouldnt be getting home from work until about 9 every night in which he will be sleep. My boss bascially told me that if im not willing to change my hours then they do not have a position for me anymore. Would that be considered a lay off or fired. And will I be able to collect unemployment?P.S i have been working here for 5 years
