Question:

Would this be considered copyright infringement?

I wanted to film and upload a YouTube video comparing a song and the Kidz Bop version of it. I learned in 7th grade that it's not copyright if you play the song for a maximum of 30 seconds. I have seen hundreds of videos with music in them, not from the recording company. I'm pretty sure it's not illegal to do this but I don't want to be sued for everything I have, or go to court for that matter

  1. If you go through with this video and YouTube or the Company finds that it's considered copyright infringment they will remove the video. and you possibly maybe suspended [OR NOT.one of my videos got removed but i didnt get suspended]. but not for long.

  2. Well if you own the CD's for them then its definetley alright. But if they make a copyright claim for music, if It Universal Music Group, they'll just add an ad to your video and watch how many views it gets.

But for the pics and stuff, they'll actually remove the video. But I've gotten 2 of my videos removed before and I haven't gotten sued=)

  3. if it doesnt  have any logos or anything its fine it wont get copyrighted

  4. Anything under 30 seconds is considered okay under the Fair Use Act
