quiet solitude

the wished desire to night

the sound nothingness

Evening is here

The night shows the half moon glow

I realize the last one is just 10 syllables but am reading where the western haiku doesn't always have the 5-7-5 as in Lee Guiseck's haiku sooo what do you think of these?

  1. There both pretty good, but aren't Haiku's supposed to be about NATURE!? lol jk, your good at poetry =P -Teenweeklypick01

  2. The second line is muddled. I don't mean ambiguous, just muddled. I would prefer the last line to read, "sound of nothingness." A great start, but it really IS only 2/3 of a poem, whatever name you give it. Don't give up - either on the poem or yourself - there is talent here.

  3. "Hi Girly!

    These are good!

The first one, I believe is a great Haiku representing Sleep.

The second one, I'm not quite sure?......

But you are right, you can have 2 line Haiku and doesn't require to be 5,7,5. It's hard to get a grasp on these hay!

Well shall conquer the Haiku and slice it with a samurai sword...

    Cheers : )
