There is this single 23 yr old woman who has an older couple in her life that are like second parents to her and they treat her like one of her own. Anyway she is close friends with their son who is 28. Would it be ok if this woman told his mom and dad how much their son blessed and touched her life? That he's the first guy to ever treat her with respect and love. He takes no for an answer once and the first time. He respects her boundaries and he never pursues her. He doesn't ask her perverted questions either.

All the other guys in her life had treated her like c**p and and abused her. She's extremely modest in all areas.

How would one's father and mom respond to this?

  1. They'd probably be flatter that they raised a decent son.  Nothing is worst for a parent to think they might have gone wrong raising their child.  Even when he's a fully grown adult and they can pretty much tell for themselves if they raised him right - it's always nice to have a reinforcement.

  2. The "second father and mother" would be extremely honored.  How sweet the young woman and the young gentleman are who you describe to us.   It should be that kind of love that most of us only dream to experience.  May the wind always be at their back and no obstacle too great for the young couple to defeat.

  3. From what you have said concerning their outlay of love towards the 23 yr. old woman, I would say that they would be OK w/ it. Obviously, the older couple respect the 23 yr. old, otherwise they would not be as close as you say. However, I think you are right in your opinion that she should be straight up w/ her older friends / pseudo-parents.
