Question:

Would this be enough for an arguement...?

my dad has to travel somewhere this year for work, like go to a confrence or something. He was thinking of Australia, and we could go as a family. But, it's 2500 dollars for plane tickets alone, so if he went, he would go by himself. I babysit my sisters for about 20 hours a week plus all of the nights and stuff. If I said I could pay for part of my ticket, would you let me go to Australia with you?

Yes, I will talk to my dad tonight. It has just always been my dream to see the world, and I would get to see Australia and 5 other cities along the way. What do you think about my argument (I'm building on it:))

Thanks so much for your help! ! !

  1. i think that sounds very fair. my parents are letting me go to ecuador with my friend if i can pay for some of the ticket, i think theyre like a grand.

  2. I would say if you are responsible enough to handle yourself in a foreign country and you could pay for part of the trip with your own money, I would probably let you go with me.

  3. I think if you develop a plan and then present this plan to him and your mom, you have a good chance of being able to go. I did $2500 worth of things around the house in order to be able to go to Greece for 9 days in April solo (I'm 17), and since I paid for the trip myself (working it off) they gave me $500 in spending money for the trip. It was absolutely beautiful.
