  1. as long as you don't cover up the side, it would be fine;

    it'll get a bit hot but it's fine, just let cool down from time to time.

  2. When the laptop is on bed it sinks in a little and creates a lot of heat and the even though the vents on the side move air, its going to get very hot.

    I would buy one those cooling-boards or do something like me and just put a big book under it.

    If your only going to check your email and surf the web real fast I wouldnt worry about it, the heat is not going to build up that fast.

  3. You can always buy a lap fan for your laptop at best buy or staples. It should not be a problem, but in most laptops when overheating the system will sometimes lock up and make a beeping sound to let you know of overheating. It depends on the model. Just try to keep it dust free by using canned air

  4. Well for first it would be fine. But its much better to keep it cool always.

    You could use speedfan program to monitor your Laptop Temperature

  5. The two sets of vents most likely cool different things, so the one cooled by the side vent will be fine, but the things cooled by the bottom vents will overheat.  (If it didn't need bottom vents, why would the manufacturer waste money putting in extra fans?)
