Using the company car to get to the office and get back home every day? If so how much?

  1. No, commuting miles aren't deductible.  Commuting miles are from your home to the office and back.  If you drive during the day as part of your job, or drive from one jobsite to another, those are business miles and are deductible.


  2. A business who provides a company car can deduct the associated expenses.  

    From your description, the expenses for the car to get you to work and back are taxable compensation to you, and deductible as compensation to your company.  

    There are several ways to value the commuting use of the car for income and FICA tax purposes.  The mileage rate (50.5 cents per mile, to be increased to 58.5 cents per mile) is allowable.  The other methods are described in the IRS Employers' Guide to Fringe Benefits.
