Would this black family turn white?

Question

So its been said that mankind originated in africa and as people migrated north their skin over thousands of years turned lighter colors due to less sun- eventually leading to white skin. MY question is if a black couple moved far north and started a family that was not interupted by anything like war- disease- global warming- or any natural disater. Would the descendant of the original black couple eventually start having lighter skin descendants that would eventually become white?- I'm considering this to take long like 20,000 years.

I don't think so. I was told that the people in Africa all have different sections , cultures, skin color and even features. Some are very light and some are very dark. I have no idea why. A friend of mine is from Ethiopia and from what I have seen most of the women there are beautiful. I have heard about people that have never been to Africa  find out that their roots came from there and what tribe. Her ancestors had very dark skin , hundreds of years before her birth, and so did she.  I do know a white man that was born and raised in Africa. He is in his 60's.  But other than that I do not believe all mankind originated in Africa.

It's a part of evolution.Depending on what you believe in.Scientifically it is possible.Climate changes have different characteristics on different species of every animal on earth,so as they evolve from the different climate change and over an extreme period of time,i do imagine it is possible.Athough too you have to take in to consideration,inbreeding could also be a factor as well on genetics.

I don't think they will become completely white,but their characteristics will change with the change of climate to suit the enviroment they are adapting to.Look at eskimos.Good question!

Sort of. Evolution works by individuals who have an advantage reproducing more than the others. Thus the fast gazelle can have lots of fast kids while the slow one gets eaten by lions before it can have more than one or two slow kids. Eventually gazelles get faster.

Light-skinned people can make their own vitamin D better than dark-skinned ones. If you live in a sunny climate, it doesn't matter; but up north it does. If you live in an industrial society and can buy vitamins, it doesn't matter either.

So, your black family would have to live in a society that had gone back to the technology of the middle ages or worse. The dark ggggg grandchildren would have whatever you get with not enough vitimain D, the lighter ones wouldn't, and sooner or later you'd have Swedes again.

Also, if you picked Tiger Woods to start your experiment, it wouldn't work because about half the women in Sweden would flock to have children by him, he being drop-dead handsome, having better hand-eye coordination than 99.9999% of the people on the planet, being a Stanford graduate and a nice guy to boot.

It is believed that our differences are due to mutations. When these mututations took place or didn't take place, there were  certain types of people who could not survive in  certain parts of the world and they died out.

Example: The sun is very rich in Vitamin D.

It has been found the minimum amount of Vitamin D required by the black African Native is almost the same as the maximum amount of Vitamin D someone of Northern European extraction should have.  

Today it is not much of a problem.  We have better protective clothing and housing and also sunscreen.  Also we have Vitamin Supplements.   If you have black coworkers who are not working in the sun  or out in the  the sun a lot, you probably will find that many take what would be considered massive amounts of Vitamin D in comparison with what is required for someone of caucasian ancestry.

Good question! However, I and most Judeo-Christian people believe and know, humanity originated from Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. I assume that the Garden of Eden is not Africa. Not to mention, we're all from Noah after the flood since the rests perished but the 8 of Noah's team. On another ticket, I am wondering if they ever get to become just American by assimilating to the majority of us who're holding the American ticket. (just American) and forgetting previous identifications such as most American assimilated Europeans or Jews if they cared. The theory that all humans came from Africa is the most popular myth that needs to be debunked someday if not now.
