Would this cat remember me?

Hi all. I had a cat in my last apartment. She was not actually my cat, but she was my roommate's cat. The cat used to be in my room all the time. She used to cuddle with me, she used to sleep under my blanket, and whenever a new person used to come to our apartment, she used to hide in my room. Today we moved out of the apartment and my roommate took the cat with her. Now I feel so lonely and depressed. I kept crying the whole morning in front of that cat. Some people told me that it's ridiculous since I am a guy. But I cant help it. I saw earlier some people were talking about cat's memories. Will this cat remember me?

Oh its not ridiculous, thats hard to lose an animal that you have come to love.  Yes i am sure that cat will remember you , they are very smart animals!

Aww I'm sorry you have to leave the cat. I seriously know how painful that can be. I totally believe she'll remember you. At least she lives with a friend of yours who you can visit over some stranger or something! Go over to your friends and see her from time to time. She'll remember you. Maybe you can get a cat of your own now to fill the void? :o)

yeah the cat will remember you. my brother moved to the other side of the country and when he comes home our cat remembers him. even at times when he is away for a full year. she still loves him when he comes home and is purring and rubbing up against him. and when he leaves again she sits in his bed and cries for a few days. no lie.

she misses him, and def remembers him when he comes home

I think the cat will remember you for a little while but may forget you or get used to your absence.  But I guarantee you that if you were to see the cat again say in a couple of months, it will remember you and come to you.

The cat will miss you for a bit, but will get over it.  Like dogs, they live pretty much in the here and now.  Sorry for your loss.

honeslty, he wont really remember you. he wont think about u and think that he misses you. cats dont have the same brains as humans, so they dont really think like that. but if he ever saw u again, he would know who u are. cats have good senses and would be able to sense you. so he would remember u if he saw u agian, but its not like hes sitting there thinking about u. and its not ridiculous that u cryed. i think its cute when guys cry over animals and stuff like that.

Cats have very good memories and yes it will remember you.  You might be surprised to know since it took to you it most likely will again.  I have a cat and my daughters have grown and moved out and since they live in different states, I don't see them very often.  One daughter came out for a visit and my cat went right up to her and her husband and wanted love and attention like they had never left.

yes i think so because like one time my cat (nikki) had kittens and well like she killed all but one of them so my mom took her to a place  like 26 miles away and a month later she had came to our front door and meowed  so basically she found her way home from that far away so i would say yes the cat remembers you because like it obviously liked you.  oh and so what your a guy who shows his feelings .! *i likes* hehe.

....maybe at first, it may not be so friendly..but, give it time to get used to you again. some cats may not react like this, but some might.

i believe ur smell is also v. important. with the places you've been, maybe you may have a different scent, so, let her get used to you again....

i gave a girlfriend a cat for her birthday 10yrs ago. i spent about 3 mths with it when it was a kitten. i would cuddle it's tummy. i hadn't seen it for about 7 yrs , but when i did ,it rolled onto it's back wanting me to cuddle it's tummy. it doesn't let anyone else do it. yes the cat will remember you . cats are survivors , it will get on with it's life , but if you were to meet up again , it won't take it long to remember you
