Would this cause TSS??

I was trying a tampon for the first time. It was about a week before my period was due, and I was just trying it to see if i could get it in. I tried the first time and it didn't work. I tried it again with another tampon and i got it in. After that i took it right out. Would that cause TSS? Because i heard TSS would only happen during my actual period. Please let me know.

  1. Uhm I dont know if it can cause TSS but I wouldn't recommend putting a tampon in before ur period because it must've hurt like heck? Tampons are supposed to just slide in (which they do b/c of the blood during your period), unless you used some kind of lube or something to get it up there, otherwise the inside of you is dry and the tampon would not go up happily...

I'm just saying lol. But good luck, I hope you find ur answer.

  2. no i wouldnt say so, know what lovey use your pc and look it up :)

  3. no, putting a tampon in for a minute would not cause tss

and tss does not only happen when you're on your period

it can happen anytime something is left in the body for a really really long time

    even men can get it

read the insert in the tampon box (which you should have done anyway) it gives you a lot of info. on tss

only half of the cases of tss are associated with tampon use

the rest occur in men, children, and women not menstruating

or if the insert isn't giving you the answers you're looking for, then just google toxic shock sydrome

  4. you get tss when you leave your tampon is for a REALLYYYYY long time
