Would this hurt the baby?

if you were pregnant and didn't know it and the doctor gave you a depo shot but then you found out you were pregnant a couple of weeks later would it cause harm to the baby?

It shouldnt cause any harm.  Studies have shown you have the same chances as anyone else to have a healthy baby.  Make sure you talk to your doctor so they can calm your fears!  

I have gotten pregnant on the patch and the pill and everything was fine.  My friend was on the depo shot and got pregnant.  her son was healthy too

Yes. Go see your doctor ASAP. If a woman becomes pregnant while using Depo Provera, and continues her pregnancy, there may be an increased risk of premature birth.
