While on a plane my friend had this idea, If they made all cockpits on planes airtight. Surely there is a gas that could be used to put all the passengers to sleep in the event of a hijacking? The pilot could then land the plane safely.

Stewards could carry panic alarms and one press of the button could alert the cockpit to release a gas which would knock all the passengers and terrorists out. We must have this technology? can anyone see any reason why this wouldnt work?

  1. maybe the bombs got a timer anyway ?

  2. Would YOU like to be a passenger on a plane that used this system? Airlines are trying keep their planes as full as possible to make a profit.

I do not think it would be successful.

  3. Yes I see where your coming from, but no can't see it working, when you think that 911 MAY have been an inside job, they would have planed for this, as they had planed months in advance for 911.

  4. sorry, but it is a crazy thought.

  5. The idea of gassin terrorists and hostages together was used in a Moscow cinema about 2 years ago.

Research it on Google and see how many hostages died.

Babies, old people, people with heart conditions will all be at risk.

    Not a good idea.

  6. I think its a good idea,The russian theatre debacle they used the wrong gas and trying to pump gas into a huge unsealed building would be totally different to an aircraft. Also the russian terrorists had explosives and guns which hopefully would not get onto a aircraft in todays climate.Yes old people might be at risk but after9/11 i think that risk would be acceptable.Your friend should patent the idea if it hasnt been thought up already(which it probably has been)if it hasnt been then it will after today!
