Question:

Would this make Palin unpatriotic?

Talk about unpatriotic, what does everyone think about Palin being part of that group that wanted Alaska to be independent from the US? If this shoe was on the other foot, the Repubs would be calling her anti-American, a traitor, etc. (which I think is true), but the McCain campaign and the right-wingers have been totally silent on this issue. Up until 1996, she was a member of the Alaskan Independence Party, whose main goal was for Alaska to break off as its own country.

  1. Chris Matthews (no conservative) reported tonight that this rumor printed by the NYT is false. He didn't look to happy about having to say it but he did.

  2. Well maybe a little unpatriotic, kind of like being a little pregnant.  There are a whole host of questions about Sarah Palin that John McCain obviously neglected to investigate.  What I really question is McCain's judgement in choosing his VP. Obviously he was pandering to the conservative right and, you know, it worked.  His contributions are up.  Yea! for exciting the base enough to let loose with some dough. Mission accomplished, John.

  11. I'm not sure about this yet.  Only because this story hasn't seemed to break yet in all the media outlets.  I can't tell if it is true, or what.

  12. Another internet rumor. Republicans have evidence to the contrary. Wait for it to all come out before you jump on her. Innocent until proven guilty in America. Right?

  13. Another smear bites the dust.  That story is not true.

  18. She was never a part of that group

That lie has already been debunked.

She registered with the GOP in 1982 and never changed party affiliation.
