I'm not involved in illegal stuff, but I think of scenarios sometimes that I wonder about. I'm wondering about a female escort. I see their advertisements on craigslist. Its pretty obvious that they are prostitutes. What if a person made an appontment, and then had her bring an item of value to the appointment, and then bought her radio or Ipod for 300$, and then they had s*x. Hes not paying for the s*x, he paid money for the radio she brought to the appointment, and they ended up having s*x. Could they be arrested?

A FEMALE ESCORT group. You saw their advertisement in the newspaper and you are entice to give it a try. So you made an appointment and had her brought an item of value? Why would anyone ask her to bring an item of value for? SHE IS NOT THERE TO SELL ITEMS of value obviously but to sell her body isn't this correct?

IT IS PRETTY OBVIOUS that she is there solely for s*x not for the items for sale, the items was brought along just to make a smoke screen for the prostitution racket. HE PAID FOR THE RADIO but still they had s*x so obviously it remove the idea of sale to the topic. THIS IS STILL ILLEGAL in the true sense of the law. THEY COULD BE ARRESTED if in that county or State prostitution is illegal so it depends on the State law.

The question is one of intent.  You showed up with the intent of giving her money and in return having s*x.  The fact there is something else involved as well is a technicality.

It is still prostitution and it is still illegal. The prostitution involves an exchange of value an item of value for s*x. In most cases the exchange is money for s*x. However it could be for an iPod, a favor, a trip, or almost any other thing that could be exchanged for s*x. The only time it is not prostitution is when it is consensual, both parties are at the least the minimum age, and no exchange takes place.
