Okay, well I cant stand the type of people who just jump right on a team because of that teams record or because the won the superbowl and my question is would I be a bandwagoner if I wanted to become a Jets fan because Brett Favre was traded to the Jets? You have to also understand that I have been a Packers fan since I was born (1990) and at this moment I am so angry with the way that they have treated Favre I hope they lose every game. So does that make me a bandwagoner?

  1. NO i am a packers fan and i loved to see favre play. i hope that he does well but i will still be a green bay fan. the way i see it is brett is a football player and wants to start, which he deserves so hes going to a different team. i do not think of you as a bandwagoner but i do think of you as a "favre fan" and not a green bay fan.

  2. You can support Favre, there is nothing wrong with that but if you're just going to dip out on the Packers and say you hope they lose every game because of Favre then you don't really have much to lose. It sounds like you're not much of a fan from my point of view. You should stand by your team no matter what.

I would also like to point this out. Im still a huge Favre fan and will continue to be, but he had his share of lies in the situation just as the Packers did. Packers just got blamed for it more.

  3. No, it makes you a Favre Fan.  You can support the packers and hope brett does well and support them too.  No one could accuse you of jumping on a bandwagon after the year the jets had last year

  4. Yeah... You can root for Farve and the Jets since they are AFC and Packers NFC... But you can't just switch teams cause of a trade.. I didn't go Cardinals when E.Smith switched...

  5. Hey, i'm a Packers, Saints, and chargers fan already. I'll add the jets, they're all right. Does it matter if you're becoming a Jets fan because of Favre, he's Favre, for pete's sake. He's almost like his own team. So no, being a Jets fan because of favre ain't bandwaggoning.

  6. Just do what you want and quit worrying what other people think.  Bandwagon is the most annoying and overused term these days.  Like a team for whatever reason you like them.  My loyalty stays with the home team always but I have never read anywhere that that is required.  I like the Pats.  Always have and always will but I will never be such a snob as to tell others that they are not real Pats fans or they haven't earned the right.  The more fans the Pats have, the better off the Pats are.  Same goes for any team.

  7. Well it's tricky... it kinda seems like over the years you've become more of a Brett Favre fan then you are a Packers fan. I wouldn't say that you are a bandwagon fan... you just root for one particular player and there is nothing wrong with rooting for the team he goes too because you wanna see him succeed... the guy is your hero and you have been following him from the get-go. Though I must mention... this whole thing was more Favre's fault then anyone... they've treated him fine and have let him practically call all the shots because of who he is. They tried to convince him to come back initially at first, but he said no... they moved on... and he changed his mind... can't do that... the Packers are right and Brett was wrong. Though I think of it this way.. if the same thing happened with Brady 9-10 years from now... how would I feel. I mean... first I was a Patriots fan, but with what Brady's done for the Pats I think over the years I've become more of a Brady fan. All I know... I hope I never have to make the decision and Brady retires a Patriot.

    GO PATS!!

  8. Well, yes and no.  I would say that you are a bandwagon fan because usually the bandwagon fans are the ones that switch to a new team for different circumstances.  Some switch because their team goes on consecutive losing streaks.  Other fans switch because they see an even better team that seems to be on the up and up.  Whatever the reason is, switching is a sign that you are not loyal to your team through the tough times.  I would also say no, because it seems to me that you are correct in the way the Packers treated Favre.  However, it seems to me that the solution to this is to be a fan of Brett Favre rather than follow him to another team.  If you are a true die hard Packers fan, it won't matter what Brett Favre does, because you are committed to their cause.  Real fans get upset and disappointed just like everyone else, but the true fans, always come back to their team no matter what .

  9. been a packer fan born in 1958 and now also a jets fan in2008

  10. No not at all i felt the same way i have been a packers fan since birth (85) and i hope Aaron Rogers does bad and then Brian Brohm does great, me and you are a brett favre fan more then jets fans so we wish the best for brett and the jets, but i will still be a die hard pack fan and i want aaron rogers to do good b/c its not his doing that brett got traded,

GO PACK, and J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS haha

  11. Well kind of.

It makes you a Brett Favre fan.

But honestly, don't give up on the Pack.  They made some bad choices but so did Favre.  Nobody won on this one.  I'll be rooting for BOTH and there's nothing wrong with that.

  12. I am in the same boat as you man, been a packer fan mostly for brett but i have been there all my life even when they sucked. i mean i am definetly gonna root for brett in new york, but i am still a die hard pack fan, and i always will be. but if you like the jets just because of brett, no that does not make you a banwagoner
