My husband & I aren't planning on having kids for a few years still but recently stared talking about baby names. I suggested the name Sophie for a girl, but my husband doesn't think it sounds good with our last name (Kaylor). So what do ya'll think, does Sophie Kaylor sound weird?

  1. sophie ann kaylor!

  2. i love that name. sounds great.

  3. I don't really like it together, I think one that ends in an A or N might sound better, maybe Sophia Kaylor and call her Sophie.

  4. he's wrong, it flows together perfectly

  5. no it doesnt sound weird, but the name is pretty common. would her full name be sophia and just sophie for short?? sophia kaylor sounds cute.

  6. it works very well together.

  7. Sophia Kaylor sounds beautiful and regal.  I would go with that and you could use Sophie as a nickname.  Sophia is more mature sounding.  Sophie is very cute sounding.  Naming her Sophia gives her options growing up as well; if she fits a cuter sounding name she can go by Sophie, but if she is more bold she could go by Sophia.  I mean no disrespect to the name Sophie by calling it cute.  Naming someone is a big responsibility, and I think it is wonderful that you are planning so carefully.

  8. I think it sounds fine besides she will still have a middle name

  9. Sophie Kaylor is a great name.  When you choose a middle name though, don't forget that she'll be putting her initials on things, so you might want to avoid, say, "U" or "I" , for instance (if you catch my drift).

  10. flows nicely

Sophie is a very pretty name

  11. I think Sophie Kaylor flows well together. Pretty!

  12. Sounds like it flows pretty good.

  13. I think thats really pretty, I love the name Sophie and Kaylor sounds quite feminine (although your husband might not want to hear that)!!

It's such good fun choosing names...

    Enjoy

  14. I think it's lovely.  Sophie means "wise"!

Also, don't forget that she'll have a middle name as well, which will factor into the equation.

But the bottom line is that if you and your husband agree on a name, it is the right one.  Eventually you'll find one that you both love.

    Good luck!

  15. sounds ok to me

  16. No I think it's very pretty. If he doesn't like Sophie what about Sophia. I like Sophia Kaylor. Then if you wanted you could call her Sophi for short.

  17. NO...IT'S PERFECT.
