  1. it can happen, when uor in high school and older guys have been in it for more years they might get angry if a freshman makes varsity and gets more playing time.

  2. people don't usually get jealous just because you are better- it's all about your attitude. If you are the best and act arrogant - you may get in a fight

  3. Huh??????????? What are you talking about? I'm confused!

  4. I wouldn't worry about the older guys.  If you are better then show your coach that you are.  It all comes down to getting a scholarship for college and you have to do your best everyday to assure your place in line for the school that you want to go to.  Yeah they may talk c**p to you, but just like in the movies, the want to be your friend in the end.

  5. Hey there. I don't know anything about football , but I do know that there always going to be people out there that will be jealous of you. If you are better at football than some of your other team mates, the ones that are insecure with themselves will most likely become jealous of you. I have had a lot of girls that are jealous of me try to make my life horrible to make them feel better. If it comes down to getting in a fight, I would just ignore those who are jealous of you. It will make you look better, keep your place on the team, and make the jealous ones realize they can't phase you. Don't worry about them, worry about yourself ! Good luck!

  6. they might - if they're jerks. just ignore them. they might not even care - depends with who you're dealing with

  7. Yes its very likely.  No matter what sport anytime a younger person is good theres gonna be older and younger players even teammates who are gonna hate.  Best thing to do is not talk smack n let your game talk.  But if somebody's gonna try to fight you...bro you GOTTA fight back! Just dont lose lol...or get in some good hits.

  8. Yes, It happens all the time. It's sad but true.

  9. This question is a bit to scattered in random, some people get jealous, some dont.  Some dont give a **** about playing time, so its really up to each individual player.

  10. Great Question! My name is Jon and I am going into Grade 8. I have been in public school my whole life, and I guess that I know alot about this. Ive struggled with bullying and peer pressure through the past 9 years. So my advice is be your self. Wear what you like to wear. If It makes you feel good then you should be happy. When you go there you will face alot of new challenges. But you need to hang in there. Want to know what I recently did that helps alot! I am going to a new school next year and I decided to try to get a new look, so I did. I look different, feel different and have a better attitude about life.

Another thing you should really do is write a blog all the time to vent out your feelings, and maybe somebody would enjoy to read your experiences. Thats what I am doing. I suffer from depression and havnt been really having a good time in life general lately, so why dont you also check out my blog. It will help you about going to a new school.

  11. of course its normal human behavior feeling threatened by someone better than you, be the bigger man and congratulate don't hate

  12. I went to high school with a girl who may very well possibly end up in the olympics eventually. She wasn't making fun of everybody for how much better she was, and she never got in a fight with anyone over it.

  13. if you're not a jerk about it, you should be fine. if you're rubbing it in their faces, yeah you'll be on their bad side.

  14. h**l yes they get jealous. they all want their time on the field, to try and show they are a "star", and they have dreams of going pro.

    don't you?

    isn't that why you play?

most kids don't play anymore just because its fun.

if you say you do, and don't have ambition of going pro, you know you're lying to me and yourself.

they are definitely jealous. don't brag. just let your play show your skill.

  15. i'm sure there are some that get really jealous, because like you might have taken a seniors spot or something.. and especially bc you are a freshmen.. but don't let that hold you back!

  16. stop being dumb jocks is the most accurate and perfect answer.

  17. no.when i was in 6th grade and my friend and i moved up in band to high school level. (yeahh i know its totally different) but that shouldnt happen because thats immature.

  18. it could happen

  19. that would be really stupid. ask them if they'd rather be the best on a team that sucks. also, are you trying to follow the footsteps of devin hester? cause he's a kick returner and former cornerback. That's really cool if you are. also, they usually get jealous at running backs or wide receivers. For some reason its never the quarterbacks.

  20. Just be respectable to the upperclassmen on the team and you should be fine. Yeah you must be good making varsity but just be nice and you can hope for the best.

  21. uh duh i mean no one wants to see an under classman

that just got there take their spot + guys are really territorial

so im not surprised that happened

  22. yupp that is sooo true, that happens in my high school too, imma junior but yea watch ur back buddy! i suggest boxing classes! haha just kidding but really dont quit and just watch your back and defend yourself

  23. Yes, they are jealous and pissed.  Prepare for a major a$$ kicking.

  24. not really unless you are a bragger.

  25. yeah unfortunately everyone gets jealous just dont like your better than anybody else and dont brag and you should be fine

  26. This is so completely dependent on the players on your football team that it is impossible to answer.  Would it happen?  Well obviously since you said your cousins friend had a similar issue. Just don't make a big deal about it and annoy people.

  27. it depends on how immature the other players are.
