Question:

Would this tee be offensive?

I just got a tee from Aeropostale that says "Send Postcards, Not Troops". In one of my classes, we have a student teacher that's served two tours in Iraq. I respect the people who have served very much, but I just think we should pull out. Do you think this shirt would be offensive to him? Thanks so much!

  1. I dunno, I think you really shouldn't wear the shirt. Besides, its not like wearing a t-shirt is really going bring home the troops.

  2. yeah....kindaa

  3. Not really, its not an anti-war statement that insults the government or armed forces. And the teacher, servings two tours over in Iraq, most likely not his choosing, will see the humor in it.

  4. No, i dont think it would be to offensive. Everyone will take it in a different way though.

  5. No, not really. Wear what you believe in. Some believe they should still be there, some people think not. There will be adults that think you are a stupid, ignorant teen, and there will be some who think you are right, and very smart. It will offend some, I guess, and it won't bother others. I prefer not to say my opinion to everyone. BUT, I don't think you should wear it in that class. Save it for a weekend thing. Also, think about what those troops do for us. Good luck, have fun, and stay beautiful ♥

  8. no!

its just a shirt that you paid to wear!!!

and i think that if he has a problem then he can just tell you but who says you have to listen to him!

and maybe he thinks that troops should be coming home!!

so i think that if you don't then why in the world did you but it so it can sit in your drawer!!

    so i would wear it!

  9. As the sister of a brother who served in Iraq, it can be seen as being very unsupportive for our troops.

I would definitely not wear that to school.

I do not agree with the war, but I DO support our troops. Big difference

  10. I would wear it, but if you are that self concious, wear a hoodie or jacket during that class...
