I got a ticket and when the officer put my address down she got the right address, but she put down the wrong town. Would that be voidable?

  1. If you committed the offense, pay the fine and move on.  We have turned into a nation of such nitpickers, suers, and whiners.

  2. Ya, it's worth a try...if you don't have to take a day off work to attend court.  It might get thrown out before it even gets to court but fight the ticket if not.  After the officer finishes giving her evidence to the court, point out that the address is not correct.  It'll be up to the court to decide whether to void the ticket or not.

Bring the drivers license you gave the officer just in case you need proof.

  3. Possible, but not likely.  As long as everything else is correct, the error can be amended.

  4. A clerical error such as that is fixed easily and has nothing to do with the actual vilolation that the ticket was issued for.  So, nope.

  5. Depends on your state of residence. In PA, that would be enough to have the ticket thrown out. In NY, no.

  6. Nope it's just a typo on the officers part, and most likey she would have corrected it by now. They have your full name, DOB, and DL number, what real other info do they need? they can still ticket you minus the missing town.
