Question:

Would this trade be good for me?

My team now:

QB - David Garrard, Brett Favre, JaMarcus Russell

RB - Adrian Peterson, Willie Parker*, Fred Taylor

WR - Larry Fitzgerald, Torry Holt, Donald Driver, Mark Clayton

TE - Jason Witten, Donald Lee

K - Nick Folk*

DST - Cowboys

I was looking to trade Willie Parker & Nick Folk for Ryan Grant & Neil Rackers.

Is this a good trade for me and what do you think the chances are of him liking the trade? He has Laurence Maroney, and Steven Jackson at RB too so I think he might do it..

  1. I think Ryan Grant is gonna have a bad season. Honestly i wouldn't be shocked if the Packers picked up oone of the big name RB free agents like Kevin Jones, Shaun Alexander or Cedric Benson befor the start of the season.

  2. I agree with many of the previous answers.

I do not think that this is a real impact trade.

Grant is being heavily hyped by the fantasy establishment - mostly based on the fact that Aaron Rodgers will presumably be handing off a lot this season. I do not believe Grant will have a break - out season especially with all the A - grade talent available to sign at RB.

Parker is also likely to have a mediocre year with competition for carries as virtually every team in the NFL switch to a two - back system and he ages.

Stick with your team and let the season go a little before making any moves.

By the way - don't hold out on Favre he is not coming back.

  3. Ehhh, i bet he would like it. But im not so sure about Ryan Grant next year. Rackers will be great cause FGs is all Arizona will be able to do. Its 50-50, id hold on to parker cause hes gonna be consistent, maybe not amazing but consistent, Grant is hit or miss.

  4. I highly doubt he does this.

Ryan Grant is a borderline number 1 RB. Willie Parker to me is a borderline number 2. I know Folk is viewed as a top 3 kicker but let's be real here, he's a kicker.

I don't think this wil get it done. If it was me, I would counter with Laurence Maroney instead. If it was Maroney, I might still consider tkaing it because I just do not like Willie Parker this year.

  5. He might be more willing to deal Maroney than Grant in this instance.

  6. parker never got a TD within the redzone...with mendenhall in the mix, he never will...go for it.

  7. Yes, that would be a good trade for you.  The kickers offset each other since they are both good and both can have great season, but will most likely be close together in points.

With the RB's, Parker didn't get many TDs last season but yards, so he was not that good of a fantasy back.  Now this year he has Mendenhall to compete with for carries and they will definitley split around 70-30 or maybe closer even.

Grant on the other hand finished off really hot last season, and looks like he will get the load again this year and produce all year.  I would do this trade as Grant has more upside and will be the #1 starter and get more carries and TD opportunities than Parker.
