Would this work? Help!

Question

I have a bay window in my room about a metre and 10 cm across and a metre and 5 cm from top to bottom. I want someone to build one of those like bay window seats.

I have wanted to do this for like 3 years but the only problem is I have a central air vent at the back, kinda like right under the middle window... Would it be possible to build this with the vent or should I just give up?

You can do it - or have it done.  I would have the seat made more like a bench or a shelf.  Then the bottom would remain open so the air could circulate, then you could put baskets under the seat for storage.  

Or, you could have the bottom/front done with lattice - it would still allow for the circulation and look very nice.
