Would this work for stocking a 29 gal. fish tank?

3 corydoras

5 blind cave tetras

1 pleco

1 dwarf guorami

2-3 swordtails

Driftwood, java moss, java fern and some fake plants with brown gravel

  1. Yes it's a perfect choice but I would recommend you add 6 or more corydoras instead of three because they tend to like schooling and become more comfortable and more active knowing there is a great number of them. Be sure you have subdued lighting because cave tetras are more comfortable in the dark. Last tip is you must have a bristlenose or the small species of plecos because most plecos grow to a size you wouldn't want. That's all so I just want to wish you happy fishkeeping.


  2. sounds great except the pleco, get a couple more dwarf gourami instead so you have 2 female, 1 male otherwise they could fight if you have more than 1 male

  3. yea. That seems to be fine. Except lose the pleco. They grow way too big. Instead, get a rubberlip pleco, they stay relatively small. And get 4 or 5 corydoras. They do better in groups and are more active in groups. But everything else looks good.
