originally I am from PA. thats where all my family lives. But if I move to Florida for a year, get my own apartment(1 year lease) and get a florida drivers license, while attending a community college, would that be enough to gain residency and be elgible for in state tuition? I would be applying to either University of Florida or Florida State for the 2nd year I am there....but I would be living on campus and no longer in an apartment, meaning I would have to go home to PA during winter and summer breaks. How do I do this without paying out of state tuition??? Its way more for out of state tuition and cant afford that.

  1. aw stay in PA. thats where i am.. i also wanted to go out of state, but in the long run its the same education, only cheaper. i decided im going to go to philadelphia community college and transfer to drexel after 2 years. but if you really are going to go through with it, i believe you have to be living in state for atleast 2 years.
