Would u be embarrassed?

Question

You received a thank you card from a shy girl you work with and she thanked you for being a good friend to her. She said she's glad that she's gotten a chance to get to know you and wanted to thank you for always being there for her and for listening to her even tho she's quiet. She also said some really nice things about the type of person you are.

Would u be embarrassed that she said all of these things? Especially when you saw her in person again?

Some people just can't take a compliment and they knock themselves down for no good reason. For example, if somebody says that you have a nice smile, you will reply that you can't tell that your back tooth is crooked. If somebody pays you a complement, keep it simple. Say "Thanks" or "Thank you for your note," ask them how they are doing and just feel good that your are one of the nice people still around. Nothing extra, just plane common courtesy to acknowledge somebody when they acknowledge you in a positive way.

Absolutely not, and you should feel proud that someone thanked you for something that you can not buy but that can be given, what a wonderful person to say Thanks for being you, wow what a compliment!!!

No y would u be embarresed. You should be extremely flattered and when u see her again make sure u thank her for the card!!

I would feel proud.  I would just thank her and tell her how easy and nice it is to be her friend.  Nothing to be embarrassed about.

Not at all. The next time I saw her I would tell her how much I appreciated her kind words about me and that I was glad that she felt respected and cared for by me.  I would let her know that I value her as well and that I hope we could continue to grow our friendly working relationship.
