Let me hear u & your reasons for why u would or wouldnt do it.

Trinis abroad what do u think?

i for one, along with my family will support any kind of awareness like this..

On Friday me & my family were robbed. 2 armed men entered our home in broad daylight an demanded OUR belongings, what WE paid for what WE now have to replace.. they then left on foot.....

We thank God for still keeping us safe, we know others are goin through much worse things..

but what can we really do again?

Police aint doing anything, goverment.... well need i say more??

maybe something like this wont completely stop the rampage of incidents ppl face everyday, but will it be a wakeup call for the government of t&t?

  1. Sorry to hear about you and your family's plight Re$h. I could just imagine the trauma that you all went thru, it's sad, sad, sad!!

What makes a person feel that they could just rounds up ah friend or two and storm into people's home and take their belongings?!!

The criminals don't give a flying fig about which Gov't in power, they don't care if is Manning, Dookeran or Panday in power, they're gonna do what they're gonna do because at the end of the day, what is important to them is the power that THEY have with the guns... bottomline.

l support any initiative that would bring some sanity back to T&T.

  2. sure i would support it but first we all need to take ah look at ourselves and what we all can do to stop crime,eg the piper dat selling us the bucket of fruits or the family member who bringing home money ,jewelery and wearing fancy clothes and you know they  not working anywhere. When i was younger i couldn't bring home anything that didn't belong to me as i would get ah good cut tail and i would have to carry it back.

  3. Sorry to hear about what happened to you but as they say thank God you weren't hurt.

I'm a trini living in ny for about 6 months now so I have no idea what it's about but I would support it 100% if I were there.

I left because someone was trying to kidnap me. They were staking out my place of work and my dad's house as I would be there pretty often. I had a great job and a great family. I had to uproot my two babies and come to ny to stay with my brother. My husband is still contemplating coming to ny so that could be a marriage destroyed...who knows.

Anyways. I hope trinis do support it because the last one they tried to do last year wasn't well received. I hope more people decide to support it. Good luck everyone.

  4. Resh, that is very sad to hear. Thank God that you are safe and nothing more happened. I know a lot of people that face crime day in day out. I've seen ppl get robben in front meh house...guns and stolen car. Couldn't believe it...but this place getting insane. Criminals are brave with their crimes.

I supported the death match, I support any initiative that is done to bring awarness to the severity of the crime in this place. However, i agree with Julien...we need to hit the government where it hurts most. Are they even listening to the plights of people? How F-in long them MC's and them in Government and the Crime situation is not a F-in problem. It not getting better. It brings out the violent side in meh boy. Because it frustrating knowing they not serious. How buying and selling cars to criminals helps. And making deals with so called "community leaders"! Why....we voted these fools back again??

  5. It depends you know. It doesn't help if you supporting but ur boss not. If the ministry not down wit it den gosh.

  6. Re$h girl, I have been so busy I doh know what goin on back home, but yuh in meh prayers girl. Thank God allyuh safe. Gosh, ah real sorry tuh hear dat....

    <Hugs>

  7. OMG!! Well I am glad to know that you and ur family members were not hurt thank the Lord!! I think it's a good idea especially if a large number of people do participate and show solidarity. It's time for the crime to not only stop but these people that are committing these crimes need to be caught and punished cuz too many of them are getting away.

  8. Oh Resh I'm so sorry your family and you had to go through that - i'm sure it was traumatic - as you said though thank God it wasnt worse -but it really shouldnt happen in the first place should it ? not sure if the shut down of the country would make a difference really -anywho's thank God you're okay Resh and keep safe !

  9. wats going on?

  10. Chic I'm so sorry for your trauma - dem bandits real boldface dese days!

The shutdown is a good idea and I hope that mostly everyone supports it - we need to send a message loud and clear!

  11. Probably not.

  12. First things first. Re$h girl, I thank God for His protection of you and your family. Now leh me open meh mouth. I wholeheartedly agree with Julien. If de country have to shut down every Monday for this nonsense to stop, then so be it.

If people are not safe in their OWN house in broad daylight and the police eh doing a blame ting then the people have to do something man! The government is going to be dealing with total anarchy if they don't do something quick. The people of Trinidad and Tobago are fed up with useless talk. It's time for action before our country becomes a sad statistic.

  13. BWDMC !!!!!!!!! what dis place coming too !!

Dread i real sorry for yuh and de family. Thank God allyuh come outta ah dat alive. But now yuh have to extra careful, cause dey might think is easy picking by you.

Manning and Martin doh care dem have police outside dey door at night and day. Until one ah dey own family eh get caught in dis mess dey eh go act.

Thank God for keeping allyuh safe tru dat.

Now i know we could have a shut dong day every MOnday or drive with lights on to show we support but what we really need to do to send a message to the Govt. is to hit dem where it hurts.... election time. When man start to get voted out and people start to ask questions that make them accountable, then we will see change.

We have to stop the blind loyalty TODAY !!
